Tacho Head Trouble Shooting
Powering the Monitor:
Brown Wire +
Blue Wire -
Connect Brown Wire to 12 volt KEYED power source. You can get power from constant 12v source but is recommended to be keyed. (Battery Drain)
Setting Monitor Alarm Rotor Speed:
When the machine is running at working speed not under load. Press and hold the set button till the screen displays AUTO. Release and it will calculate a 8% drop in speed, then return to original speed.
Setting Monitor Alarm Auger Speed:
Highlight the auger channel press and hold the set button. Four Digits will appear in the display. Continue to hold the set button, the 1st digit on the left will flash, continue to hold set and eventually it will switch to the next button, once that happens press the arrow button till the 1 digit appears. Eventually the next button will flash and move it to 5. Then make the last one 0, release the set button and continue with harvesting operations.
Monitor Reading Zero when Header is Engaged:
Swap monitor leads from Rotor and Auger. (Pin #6 & #3)
If no readings develop from this, check wires for damage.
No damage wires swap senders from auger and rotor to isolate the problem.
Re-setting the monitor.
CX/Early VS Monitor Heads:
With the power off press and hold the set, toggle button and the 'hidden button' found in the 'our' of Shelbourne. Hold these three buttons in, switch the power on and once it flashes power on the display release the buttons. Run up the machine and if no readings appear try resetting the monitor again.
Later VS Monitor Heads:
With the power off press and hold the middle three buttons then power up, release the buttons. Run up the machine and if no readings appear, try resetting the monitor again.

When changing gears it is important to make sure that the header is lowered to the ground or oil will spill out of the box. Remove the thumb screws in the back of the gearbox & pull the cover off. Select the correct gears for the required speed. Check oil level. The spare gears must be replaced onto the back of the gearbox cover to keep the driving gears in place. Replace the gearbox cover & hand tighten the thumb screws.
