Modular Tub Design:
The Powermix Pro range consists of two basic tub sizes. The single auger range consists of a standard 9m3 model that can be fitted with either an 11m3, 13m3 or a 15m3 extension.
The twin auger standard tub size is 16m3, which can then be fitted with either 19m3, 22m3 or 25m3 extensions to complete the range. This modular design gives the Powermix Pro range great flexibility.
Modular Auger:
The Powermix standard auger is 1m tall and houses 7 blades. An optional 300mm auger extention is available, holding a further 3 blades. This enables the auger to be tailored to the application. A tall auger is desirable for faster mixing of prechopped ingredients, as it keeps the material 'live' all the way to the top of the tub. When chopping bales, a shorter auger is better, as it allows more room inside the tub for the bale to expand into as it is torn apart.

Blade Options:
Large Blade Option
The standard blade configuration is 3 large blades on the lower three blade positions and 4 smaller blades on the four upper positions. However if chopping bales is a priority, the large blade option is recommended. This includes fitting large blades to all 7 positions on the auger. While increasing chopping efficiency, this option will slightly increadse the horsepower requirement.
Auger Magnet
All augers can be configured with a sweep arm mounted magnet, Tests have proven that these internally mounted magnets are far more efficient at collecting metal than discharge chute mounted magnets.
Adjustable Corner Blades
These externally adjustable corner blades are of most benefit when chopping root crops. They also accelerate bale chopping.

2 Speed Gearbox:
This provides a slower auger speed for pre-mixes or when a lower horsepower requirement is necessary, or a faster speed when chopping bales and beets. This option can be fitted to both single and twin auger machines.
The two speed gearbox is shifted using a cable and lever system. The lever is most commonly mounted on an adjustable arm but can be cab mounted.

Direct Tractor, Manual or Electric Controls:
The simplest way of operating the Powermix feeder wagon's hydrauic functions is to connect each function directly to a spool valve on the tractor. This is easy on Popular models where only 1 or 2 functions are necessary. The Express conveyor system requires 3 tractor hydraulic outlets, if these are not available then one of the following options must be used.
The manual control option uses a lever operated valve block mounted on an adjustable arm fitted to the top link mounting point on the tractor. The most convenient way of operating the hydraulic functions is to use the electric control option, here the operator controls the mixer using switches mounted in a hand-held joystick.
The electric valve block is located on the front of the scale mounting turret at the front of the machine. The hand controller can then be located anywhere in the cab. The conveyor speed is adjusted using the flow control valve on the top of the valve block.
The manual control valve can either be mounted on the Powermix using an adjustable arm or on the back of the tractor using a bracket system.
