New Cubicle Bedder Range Launched
8th September 2009
Based upon the experiences learnt over the past 4 years of cubicle bedder production Shelbourne Reynolds is pleased to announce the latest models due for release in October 2008.
The main design brief was to produce a smaller model and an optional chain drive agitator while maintaining the existing ranges reputation for durability and flexibility.
The new range which also sports the new grey company livery starts with the CB100 model. This new entry level size is 1.6m wide (5'4") and features a 0.6 cubic metre hopper making it suitable for small tractors and skid steer loader applications. A range of hydraulic motors means that the machine can be driven with as little as 16 litres/minute oil flow..The CB150 replaces the old best selling 120 size, this is now 1.9m wide (6' 4") with a 1.2 cubic metre hopper. The largest model is now the CB300 at 2.25m (7' 5") wide and 2.22 cubic metres.
All models are capable of spreading a wide range of materials including straw, sawdust, shavings, paper or sand. The discharge rate can be regulated by adjusting two slides in the bottom of the hopper. The discharge distance can then be controlled by adjusting the hydarulic flow rate. The machines use a hydraulically driven belt and agitator shaft which are coupled together to operate from one double acting spool valve. Right and left side discharge is possible simply by reversing the direction of oil flow.
A loader frame is now incorporated into the chassis to provide a convenient mounting point for loader brackets. If the bedder is to be linkage mounted then it can be specicied with either rigid mount 3 point linkage brackets or with a hydraulically tipping frame. The tipping frame also incorporates an "A" frame attachement.
