Powerblade range with new booms and controls

11th March 2009

HD 70T Powerblade Hedge Trimmer

Powerblade updates for the 2006 season include new boom geometry and a new digital proportional control system.

Two models are currently available, the 6m telescopic machine incorporates 1.2m of telescopic length which means that with the boom fully retracted the machine is a very compact 4.8m. The 7m machine incorporates a 1.5m telescopic section retracting to 5.5m.

The secondary booms are made of heavy duty box section with no compromise on strength. The primary boom has been shortened to enable 1st and 2nd cuts to be taken on hedges close to the tractor without the boom protruding into oncoming traffic.

The new digital proportional control system enables the operator to adjust the boom extention and elevation as well as the head angling proportionally on the compact joystick. The telescopic function is operated using switches on top of the joystick.

Head float, arm float, powerslew, auto return and head drive are operated using control panel mounted switches. A big advantage of the system is that the responses can all be adjusted on each machine to the individual operators preferences.
