New Trimmer Ranges for LAMMA 2012

9th December 2011

New ranges for Shelbourne at LAMMA 2012

Shelbourne Reynolds is bringing its latest range of hedge and verge trimmers to LAMMA 2012, with the new 300 and 400 series models aimed at those users who want high level features for a lower investment. Buyers can opt for the fixed frame 300 series, which at present consists of the 5m reach 350 model, or the 450 model, a 5m model in the 400 power
slew series.

Standard on both ranges is a slide mount 1.2m head with belt drive, complete with double skinned construction and a 4” (100mm) roller. Standard specification also includes parallel boom geometry, twin pump 50hp hydraulic system and cable controls, which will help to ensure these new trimmers are appealing to a wide range of users.New Trimmer 1

Design criteria
When Shelbourne’s designers were tasked with considering how to make a more economical version of the popular MD and HD contractor ranges, it was decided that the 300 and 400 series models would top no more than 1,100kg, have a basic yet strong construction and feature non-telescopic booms.
Neil Smith of Shelbourne said: “This new range highlights our design team’s prowess in creating a very good trimmer with many high end features but at a lower price scale than our MD and HD models. We have met demand from our customers and dealers who have asked us to bring these models to the market, and we are aiming to be able to supply the 300 and 400 series from January 2012 onwards.”
Options such as an oil-over-oil proportional joystick and hydraulic head roller ensure that a 300 or 400 series trimmer can be specified to a higher level for lighter contracting duties. Float kits and road lighting can also be added to the basic specification models.
Rebadged range and additional model
In addition, the Shelbourne HD range will be rebadged as the 700 series for 2012, and this line-up will gain the addition of the new HD767VFR forward reach machine, believed to be the largest of its type available. This features a 6.7m reach boom, with a forward range of 1.7m to give excellent vision to the side of the tractor. Standard is Shelbourne’s proportional joystick system, found on the current HD62VFR variable reach machine, but greater requirements on both outward and forward reach have led to the new model arriving to the market. A 1.5m head can be specified in lieu of the standard 1.2m unit, and Shelbourne’s proven belt drive can be set in either an inboard or outboard position.

New range of mowers
In addition to Shelbourne’s in-house designed products, the company is now the UK importer for the Italian Libertini LIPA flail mower range. LAMMA will see both TLJL and TLR models on display, which each come in three widths from 2.2 to 3m and can be front or rear mounted. “The LIPA flail mowers are a high quality, proven product, and will complement our trimmer and groundcare range,” added Mr Smith.
