Shelbourne Reynolds Introduces 8m Trimmer

14th November 2012

Latest development from Shelbourne Reynolds is the addition of a new 8m reach machine to the 700 Series Heavy Duty range. The new model is called the HD780T.New Trimmer

Once again the Shelbourne product development team have been led by customer feedback. The HD780T is configured at 8.02m reach with an outboard drive 1.2m head, however this grows to an impressive 8.34m with a 1.5m inboard drive head. In this case as with other models within the Shelbourne trimmer range the customer is actually getting “more than it says on the tin” .

All heads are driven using a twin “vee” belt system using equal sized pulleys for maximum power delivery. Shelbourne’s high power gear pump hydraulic system is used with an output of 85HP being sufficient to make light work of the toughest growth.

All heads are offset by 100mm to compensate for the heavier drive end when using the float function.

The HD780T uses a conventional single stage telescopic arm with up to 1.8m of telescopic extension. This gives the HD780T a reach range of 6.2m to 8m.

Shelbourne 02The control is supplied by Shelbourne’s digital proportional joystick. This is fully programmable using the armrest mounted console. All of the functions can be adjusted separately for speed and response allowing the operator to tailor the machines control to their preferences.

1.2m and 1.5m heads are both available with hydraulically adjustable rollers.

The HD780T weighs 1980kg and can be 3 point linkage mounted although the recommendation is axle mounting. Shelbourne now manufactures a wide range of axle brackets to suit most modern tractors.

Price of the Powerblade HD780T fitted with a 1.2m flail head is listed at £31,572 – a price which includes the hydraulically controlled roller.
