Mechanical Fitter 

Due to continued expansion we are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join our team of skilled engineers.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in agricultural machinery to join our team.  You will be working on the assembly and fitting on a variety of machines. Knowledge and experience of hydraulics is preferable. Note: This is a hand's on role working with some heavy equipment and therefore candidates need to be physically fit.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in:-

  • Agricultural machinery
  • Hydraulic / Pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings
  • Must have own tools
  • You will have your own transport due to where the company is based

HOURS OF WORK  

Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm

Friday 8.00am to 3.30 pm

The working pattern may vary to meet business requirements, and applicants need to remain flexible to this fact. You will however be given at least one weeks’ notice of any changes. The shift patterns that may need to be adopted are as follows:-

Early shift: - Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.00pm

Late shift: - Monday to Friday 2.00pm to 10.00pm

For each day worked on either of these shifts a shift payment will be made.

Warehouse Operative/ Stores Person

We are looking for someone to become a member of our UK Stores team where your duties will include;

  • Picking parts for our manufacturing operation.
  • Picking and packing goods for dispatch to our customers.
  • Using our in-house computer system to update our inventory records.
  • Assist with loading / unloading and other general warehousing duties. 

This position requires physical fitness as it involves lifting parts, packages and boxes.

Warehouse operative/stores person experience is essential.

An in-date FLT licence would be beneficial however training would be given.

Paint Shop Operative

We are looking for a Paint Shop Operative who will be involved in Shot Blasting and preparing a wide range of metals to a high standard.

Job Requirements:

Shot Blasting Parts

  • To prepare parts and assemblies by shot blasting prior to powder coating, meeting defined production standards, schedules and quality requirements.
  • Loading / unloading parts of varying sizes and weights by means of manual lifting, motorised pallet trucks or forklift trucks. Parts vary from 10cm to 11m in length and 2g up to 1800Kg in weight. The larger parts are then transported in close cooperation with a second team member.

Hanging & Preparation

  • Loading and unloading of parts using manual lifting, pallet truck or forklift truck (often working with others when unloading or lifting large parts).
  • Hanging parts onto the overhead conveyor track system using hooks and/or chains manually and using a fork truck or crane to hang larger items.
  • Rubbing down of parts with an emery cloth; using compressed air to ‘blow down’ any dust/debris.
  • Ensuring parts have been hung and prepped properly to desired quality standards and timeframes to be totally ready for powder coating. Taking responsibility for ensuring each stage of the preparation process is completed properly.

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.00pm (37.5 hours with a 30 minute meal break).

Late shift:-

Monday to Friday 2.00pm to 10.00pm (37.5 hours with a 30 minute meal break).

Production Planner 

The Role

The successful applicant will have experience in  production planning within a computerised planning system, focused around optimising efficiencies and performance in a manufacturing environment. You will need a working knowledge from an engineering point of view of medium to heavy process machinery and your background will be in supervising of individuals and processes utilising statistical analysis and modern manufacturing techniques.

Your role will be crucial in the management and continuous improvement of this in depth manufacturing process; therefore you will have regular interaction between all levels from manufacturing shop floor to director. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing company, which will lead to excellent career benefits and good technological development.

Duties of the Production Planner:

  • Monitors backlog problems, work order flow, and bottleneck problems.
  • Maintains time and attendance system and production records to analyse departmental production performance.
  • Experienced in using an integrated ERP system, MRP, inventory management, cycle counting, and works order management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Good human relation skills.
  • Liaise with production team leaders to maintain schedule status and resolve delivery date queries.

The Candidate:

  • Current working or has worked in a planning role within an SME.
  • Wants to join a company that you can make a genuine difference in.
  • Analytical, good attention to detail.
  • Confident to communicate clearly with all interfaces.
  • Can work on own initiative.

Required Qualification Level: 

The candidate will need to have A-Level grades and be computer literate (competent with the MS Windows, Office environments) with good communication skills - a quick learner, flexible & adaptable and an ‘eye for detail’.  Experienced in Manufacturing systems or have a degree or other relevant qualification such as ONC/HNC or equivalent in mechanical, production engineering.

Welder/Fabricator

We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator with a background in agricultural machinery to join our team

Job Requirements:

  • MIG welding.
  • TIG welding - useful but not essential.
  • Welding mild steel & stainless steel.
  • Welding steel of varying thickness from 1mm to 12mm.
  • Ability to work from engineering drawings.
  • You will have your own transport due to where the company is based.

HOURS OF WORK  

Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm.                                                                 

Friday 8.00am to 3.30 pm.

There will be a ½ hour lunch break 12.30 to 1.00pm.
