Powerspread Contractor |
Maintenance time is dramatically reduced by the standard fitment of a single point greasing system for all drive line bearings and an auto lubrication system for the heavy duty chain drive.
The contractor comes as standard on 23.1 26 tyres which are mounted on 40 kmh hydraulically braked axles to match the speeds of modern tractors.
These features all combine to give the Powerspread Contractor the ability to give a high work rate with fast and efficient spreading.
Contractor 2200, 2500 and 2800
The Powerspread Contractor is a side discharge spreader with overshot impellor as found on the other spreader in the Shelbourne Reynolds range the Powerspread Dairy but with unique new features.
The drive system is a heavy duty self lubricating chain drive with reversible sprockets to give the option of 3 main auger speeds of 3, 9 and 13 rpm. This range of auger speeds allows the Powerspread Contractor to spread all classes of manure from slurry and straw yard dung to dry broiler litter in an accurate and even spread pattern of up to 18 metres. The main auger pulls in both ways to the patented centrally opening door and has shear bolt protected auto reset paddles that discharge to the impellor. The drive line also has a reverse drive fitted to help clear any obstructions inside the spreader, this coupled with the drop down drip tray and impellor will ensure that any obstructions can be removed quickly and spreading can continue with minimal time loss.
Maintenance time is dramatically reduced by the standard fitment of a single point greasing system for all drive line bearings and an auto lubrication system for the heavy duty chain drive.
The large contractor differs from the standard contactor in the length of the body, it being 1.6 metres longer to give the increase in capacity, and has a strengthened chassis and extra ribs on the body to accommodate the extra weight carried. The overall width of the large contractor remains the same as the standard machine for ease of manoeuvring and to conform with legal width requirements for road use.
The large contractor comes as standard on 650/65 - 30.5 tyres which are mounted on 40 kmh hydraulically braked axles to match the speeds of modern tractors.
These features all combine to give the Powerspread Contractor the ability to give a high work rate with fast and efficient spreading. The long wheel base Contractor is now available with sprung tandem axles with rear axle steering to make maximum legal use of the machines capacity on the road. 500/60 -22.5 tyres are used for this option.
