The Advantage swather is the latest in a long line of self propelled swathers from Shelbourne Reynolds designed specifically for oilseed rape. The advantage is fitted with a custom built header available in 4.8m (16’) and 5.4m (18’) widths. The Advantage swather enables the user to swath the crop when it is still alive and accelerate the ripening process whilst minimising harvesting losses. Shelbourne Reynolds manufactures these heads with more lateral and vertical clearance to cope with the demands of the UK oilseed rape crop to enable the Advantage swather to leave a perfect "heads out" swath every time. Leaving a swath with the heads on the outside means that the air dries it more quickly and evenly. Rape Swather The crop is left in the swather for 7 to 10 days before being harvested with a combine equipped with a Shelbourne Reynolds Pick-Up header.
