Since its introduction in 1986 the Shear Grab has revolutionised silage handling across three continents. The simple effective design allows the operator to quickly cut blocks of silage, leaving a sealed and tidy clamp face. This principle reduces secondary fermentation in the clamp and so prevents loss of feed value. |

Suitable for use with front-end loaders and materials handlers, models are available with block capacities from 393kg to 1292kg. A choice of a conventional Plain Blade for grass silage and an option of a Serrated Blade for use in maize, whole crop, and high dry matter grass is available throughout the range. Both blade types are manufactured from high quality boron steel to ensure a high level of performance.
All models come fitted as standard with large diameter, high power hydraulic rams to ensure that the Grab cuts with ease in all conditions. Tine spacing is maintained at 125mm to give greater resistance in the clamp, and hence a cleaner cut. The close tine spacing and enclosed cutting frame design reduces waste through spillage around the yard.
