Stripper Headers are designed to give significant benefits in combine harvesting capacity and efficiency. All modern combines are designed to first thresh a crop and then separate and clean it. When using a Stripper Head, 80% of the crop is already threshed and the material being fed into the combine is proportionally much higher in grain content. Because of these differences, to maximise the potential of the Shelbourne Header and combine combination, the combine must be set up quite differently compared to using a conventional header. The purpose of this guide is to highlight these set up procedures and provide operators with a good starting point in terms of settings to take to the field. Fine tuning once you arrive at the field will almost always be necessary as no two fields have exactly the same harvesting characteristics. |
