MIG Welder

We are manufacturers of agricultural machinery with a worldwide client base and we are currently looking for experienced welders to join our team, based in Stanton, Suffolk.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assembly
  • Interpret plans and specifications accurately
  • Complete any welding preparation necessary
  • Clean and inspect welding equipment and tools often, reporting and faults
  • Operate cranes and other machinery to transport materials to welding worksites and other departments
  • Determine correct gas ratios
  • Identify any non-conforming parts or errors and report immediately to your supervisor
  • Follow production schedules and meet deadlines
  • Assemble items as instructed by supervisor/manager
  • Selecting, measuring, cutting and joining appropriate materials to specification

 

We are seeking the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Organised with the ability to work on your own or part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Own transport due to factory location
  • Problem solving skills and ability to use own initiative
  • FLT license would be advantageous
  • Proven track record of MIG welding to a high standard (A welding test will be taken during interview)
