MIG Welder
We are manufacturers of agricultural machinery with a worldwide client base and we are currently looking for experienced welders to join our team, based in Stanton, Suffolk.
Duties and responsibilities
- Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assembly
- Interpret plans and specifications accurately
- Complete any welding preparation necessary
- Clean and inspect welding equipment and tools often, reporting and faults
- Operate cranes and other machinery to transport materials to welding worksites and other departments
- Determine correct gas ratios
- Identify any non-conforming parts or errors and report immediately to your supervisor
- Follow production schedules and meet deadlines
- Assemble items as instructed by supervisor/manager
- Selecting, measuring, cutting and joining appropriate materials to specification
We are seeking the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Organised with the ability to work on your own or part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Own transport due to factory location
- Problem solving skills and ability to use own initiative
- FLT license would be advantageous
- Proven track record of MIG welding to a high standard (A welding test will be taken during interview)
